Research

Untapped Potential: Examining the Role of Open Source Intelligence Through the Lense of

Sexual and Gender-Based Cases at the International Criminal Court

A study by Jenna Birnbohm-Kaminski Jenna Birnbohm-Kaminski, a Fulbright Scholar from the United States, has devoted her research to the intersection of technology and justice, specifically exploring digital open-source intelligence investigation methods in the context of gender and sexual-based crimes at the International Criminal Court. This project was conducted as an international guest researcher at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) Lehrstuhl für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht, Internationales Strafrecht und Völkerrecht mit International Criminal Law Research Unit (ICLU). Prior to her Fulbright experience, Jenna gained practical legal experience working as a paralegal and studied politics and law at Bryant University. Currently enrolled in a master's program focused on International Human Rights at the FAU, and working as a legal research assistant with Doughty Street Chambers and FAU Business and Human Rights Clinic, Jenna continues an ongoing commitment to advancing her expertise in the field of international human rights.
